去哪, 去哪 (Where Did They Go) is a personal project inspired by a poem written by a Japanese poet, Tahi Saihate. The poem referred to death as breathing, a common thing that will happen sooner or later in everyone’s life. In some regions of China, people used the phrase ‘they went back’ to describe those who passed away, as if we just came to this world for a prolonged journey that invariably had an end, which is an incredibly poetic sensation.
